Managed to snap a shot of this wonder on my birthday holiday, kindly gifted by my partner.

First opened in 1722, it has remained intact since the 18th century. Interestingly, the tour guide stated it has almost no fire protection! Let’s hope it can survive at least a couple more centuries…

This is insanely cool! What a bummer they just don’t make shit like this anymore.

This reminds me of the scene from The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen where M briefs Quartermaine on the mission

  4. I can hear the theme music of The Adventures of Tin-Tin, Professor Layton, Tomb Raider, Indiana Jones, and Uncharted playing all at once

I’ve never been to Prague but I’m my mind it’s just an extremely fancy city

  8. Idk man, they look like they have money to me.

  9. After watching season 3 of Jack Ryan, I have a whole new appreciation of just how absolutely stunning some of the older European building are.

Is this the same library used in League of Extraordinary Gentlemen when they first meet the invisible man?

Well you know what they say…if it’s not Baroque, don’t fix it!

One of my greatest dreams is to have a place with a library of my own comperable to Dracula’s from Castlevania, or like my mother’s, and spend entire nights just reading book after book after book. Night, place two thirds the way up a mountain over a city, with a view, but secluded largely in forest, and books. And with the kind of path I am taking for career, it’s entirely possible, too. One day. And then I’ll look back at things like this and remember when I wanted it. There’s a special sentimentality there…
