What ever happened to the classic open ‘department’ store like this? Its the one thing i loved as a kid. Shops were an experience. Slowly but surely all the open spaces became racks or displays. Then just racks all facing the same way, uniformed lined up way and it was just another shop.

Very reminiscent of the Jordan Marsh at the Shopper’s World in Framingham, Massachusetts. I can hear the music.

  4. Wasn’t expecting to see recessed lights and sprinkler heads.

For some reason it’s reminding me of a lot of the Mormon church’s style of architecture.
