Lovely fresh and practical space. You nailed it.

Simple, but not minimalist.
Would do something different with the drapes, which really mess with what could/should be clean lines, and cross the heat source. Shades or blinds cut to simply cover the window would be better.

It’s hard to be a true minimalist with children lol

Nothing cool about this room, I am sorry

I don’t like places that don’t celebrate the children in the home .. no kids art work .. no toys .. beige and depressing

I think the main issue is it doesn’t read as a dining room, but as a living/study room with a dining table. It just seems slightly confused. Also a lot of similar shades without any contrast.

This doesn’t fit the sub. It’s just a room.

The bright white wall makes each of the 50 shades of beige look dirty.
The only thing interesting about this room is the red chair and the black lamp.
This is not minimalism. This is beige/white maximalism.

WHat the hell is going on with those curtains?

pull bookcase down wall 3 feet, line up table with bookcase long side faces bookcase, line up dresser on wall centered facing table/bookcase, move curtains to window sides and cut above heat source, red chair in corner next to bookcase, art on wall above dresser, 3 books in bookcase 2 staues on dresser the rest on top of bookcase, and hide the latch to the secret room under the table
