Hah! I live in Ottawa and this the first time I can recall a room from here being posted in this sub.

Enclose your showers people! It’s beautiful but freaking cold when you actually shower in it and all the heat escapes to fill the room.
Edit: I should clarify, this is for places like Ottawa that definitely experience winter.

The neighbors really like that window.

I’m confused by all the valves.

No drain?

I love the look of this, but surely I can’t be the only one who hates the whole – part open showers? Like damn, it gets cold, I want to be able to close the door at least.
Crankenstein_8000
Imagine an average person, naked, standing there, then it just becomes a shower stall.
daertistic_blabla
i love big hamam style showers!

How much does something like this cost?

If you’re renovating, for gods sake put the controls near the shower entrance not under the shower head!

Marble is suuuuuuper slippery when wet. I’d definitely prefer a different surface.

Nice shower, too bad it’s in Canada.

Just beautiful. So serene.

If only I had a seat in my shower. …

I wasn’t sure why something just felt off here. Now I realize it looks strange to combine the marble and subway tiling together. Is this common?

This is pretty but what is with this half door trend. It’s freezing.

Can we stop making these half glass showers?
A) they’re freezing, one side of you is always cold. Two person showers are right out.
B) you get water everywhere on the bathroom floor and go through bath mats and towels like crazy.
C) you have to clean that glass constantly, both sides, or you start to get a buildup of crud and mold.
D) there’s nothing to hold in the steam so you end up with a lot of moisture in the air, which can lead to mold on your ceiling and in cold corners
A simple shower curtain is easier to clean and maintain and it keeps the heat and water in.

That showerhead needs to be way bigger.
toshiningsea
Needs shelves for bath gels, soaps, and hair products. Needs hooks for loofahs and washcloths.

This is the best sub on Reddit, by a mile. =)
[Instagram source](https://www.instagram.com/p/Cg4yjxClQKg/?hl=en). There are nine more pics from the link showing the bathroom both before and after renovation. [Designer website showing the rest of the house](https://westofmaindesign.com/pages/project-good-vibes-house).
