I know it’s gauche to do the whole “things used to be better” thing… but man. Some things really did used to be better.
Like I’m sure a modern subway platform is actually better in a million little ways in regards to safety, accessibility, and creature comforts, and that the cost thereof is probably at least part of the reason they look like plastic boxes. But it does kinda stink to see the difference, aesthetically.

This stuff always gets me thinking of how incredible older architecture is, and how it would have been so dirty and shitty back when it was built because of a lack of environmental controls. London, NYC, etc.

They should of made the metal platform just like they had at the old south Ferry loop so when the trains make a stop at the loop the metal platform slides in and out when the trains leaves the old city Hall loop so this way it wont be to wide. I don’t see nothing wrong with the city Hall station. They definitely need to put more lights in the station. Make a metal platform like the old south Ferry loop and the entrance so people could get in and out for like a tours so other people are coming from different countrys. Lee cornwell.
