Looking to gain some perspectives of a kitchen layout. I’m feeling really stuck on these two options given the window/door placements. Any other ideas of how I could arrange my kitchen?

The portion where there’s no countertop is the dishwasher (and there will be countertop, but the designer site wouldn’t let me put it in).

Option one for me. The height of the fridge feels better off to the side rather than in the middle of the room

Option 2 for me, looks like it provides a better triangle for food preparation.

Option 1. Putting the fridge between those two windows will sort of block the light from both of them from different directions. Plus the room is already long and narrow. The fridge is going to stick out from the wall more than anything else and will make it into an even more long and narrow-feeling space if you go with option two.

Option 1 as well, more open approach from the dining room.

    Other notes
Sink should be centered under the window where possible. Using fillers to center it perfectly if they give you the option.
Walkway minimums are 30”, and 36” is the smallest I use in design work.
Visually I like the island to line up with the end of the wall mounted cabinets, this may help with your walkway by the fridge which appears to be tight

Can relocate the cooktop to the island? That would open up that wall for cabinets or floating shelves.
