Like the title of the post says, I’ll be giving some of these out as gifts and I’d like to keep a few for my personal collection. I’ve not tried most of them and would like any advice you guys may have. I don’t want to keep the best ones necessarily, but some people I’ll be gifting them to aren’t all that familiar with natural wine and I don’t want to give them anything overly funky or bizarre. However, I on the other hand, like my wine as weird and fucked up as they come. The only two I’ll definitely be keeping are the two Yvon Metras wines. Those are definitely for me! Any advice on which ones would be best for a natty newbie versus which ones are weird and more than likely up my alley would be greatly appreciated. Cheers and Happy Holidays!
Bottles are as follows: 2020 susucaru rosato, 2020 Cacique Maravilla Pipeno, 2018 Yvon Metras Madame Placard Beaujolais, 2019 Yvon Metras le Printemps Fleurie, 2019 Patrick Bouju Super B, 2019 Patrick Bouju Festejar, 2019 Il Ceo Toro Rosso, 2019 Les Vignes d’Oliver Deferlante 1, 2019 Les Vignes d’Oliver Ronds Noirs, 2019 Les Vignes d’Oliver Ronds Rouges,2020 Matassa Olla Rouge

Both of the Patrick Bouju wines are good gifts I think – the Festejar is a great party wine – fruity and quite low alcohol. I’ve given a few bottles away for celebrations and it always gets a great response. Super B is lovely, bright, lots of berries, easy drinking but a bit interesting – would be good for people who like wine but not gotten into natural stuff

Just don’t give away any Metras or Matassa.

I’d personally gift the standard bottling Metras, and one of the Boujus, the Susucaru too but I’m not big on it so might be biased there lol.

Keep the susucaru, unless you know the person you give it to will appreciate
