  1. you could eviscerate a human on that chopping board

  2. chainsawgeoff

As a cabinet maker, the lack of a toe kick is triggering.

  3. DweadPiwateWoberts

Who the fuck needs that many knives

  4. itsmrlowetoyou

There is just no functionality to this room… dark wing directly under the skylight, no toe kicks to operate near the counter, magnetic strip for knives blocking the window

No way Borås has something nice, has to be a render

Everything about this is a little bit wrong.

Lighting, cutting board, cabinets, table in the middle of kitchen, the shape of the room, ceiling, etc.

Looking at the photos on the link I would take out the table and replace it with a kitchen island that extends from the back of the fireplace. Make the space more useful, adds storage and gives more space to move around.

  7. Every single thing about the lighting is horrendous, did they have a toddler pick and install them?

  8. Gotta have 8+ proper chef knives and a Marshall amp in my kitchen! Pretty dumb if you ask me.

  9. Gas stove feels really out of place in a Swedish kitchen. I’ve literally never seen one irl.

ALL DRAWERS! YESSSSSS!!!! My dream kitchen.

This feels like a kitchen for someone who has never cooked unfortunately

I hate this for so, so many reasons.

The second I saw this, I thought I was a dream craftroom. As a person who loves to craft, that would be perfect as a craftroom.
However, that is a beautiful kitchen. People complaining about functionality don’t know how to cook…that coming from someone who has a gorgeous kitchen who can’t cook lol. My mother, on the other hand, use to whip up large delicious meals in a kitchen that I swear was smaller than my kids bathroom. She grew up poor and we grew up poor but she had (still does but better kitchen now) magic hands that could whip up a delicious meal to feed guest in an instant. As my friend (we both grew up poor) said, when you know how to cook, and our mom’s did, you don’t need anything special. Just a couple of pots, a comal, fire, and a knife and their loving hands. True true

At a glance this kitchen looks great but the longer you look at it the more you see that’s just a bit odd.

  15. This kitchen doesn’t look like it was designed with cooking in mind. You have to walk around the dining table to get from the sink to the cutting board. I feel like those two things should be closest to one another. It doesn’t follow the “triangle” at all.

    All design, no function.

Too bad everything is ruined by that garbage light fixture

A table in the kitchen is awesome. That’s how I grew up but not with these proportions.

  18. Naive-Slide3163

slight overkill on the knives. a good cook only needs 6.

  19. AlbinoWino11

Those wines gonna get absolutely ruined there.

  20. 34TH_ST_BROADWAY

Is it good to have the sink so far away from the cutting area like that?

  21. montagic

It feels like it’s trying to be a chefs kitchen while failing to have any actually thought to the layout.

  22. That chopping board looks insane. The stuff of dreams for chefs, truly.

  23. BIGworm0o

That faucet is installed incorrectly the handle should be on the right.

  24. Suspicious-Standard

    Giant stabby and drinky sections.

  25. AdventurousMistake72

Beautiful kitchen but I’m curious how you clean that cutting board?

We have a skylight in our kitchen (also west coast Sweden) and I find it’s really not nice in the summer. It lets in so much heat, half the apartment is like an oven. We unsuccessfully tried to cover it by taping garbage bags together and then tacking/taping them to the ceiling last summer and it wouldn’t stay up — it was just frustrating. Also, birds often stop to loudly peck at the skylight from the roof.

But apart from that, the kitchen pictured here is beautiful. I do like the color coordination.
