Hopefully this post is allowed, if not, if anyone can recommend a place I can get opinions on my kitchen.

I’ve been remodeling my kitchen since September. It slowly turned into a whole house remodel but I digress. I’m finally getting into the color/design choices of the project and don’t know which route to take. I originally was going to go with an all white, typical kitchen. Nothing exciting or different. However I love the navy cabinets, so I thought maybe I could do navy lower cabinets and white uppers. Then when I was at floor and decor yesterday, I came across this beautiful blue large format tile that I thought I could use for the backsplash. Regardless if I choose this blue I’m going with large format tile for my backsplash as I hate tiny tile.

I guess the question is, am I heading in the right direction?

Go on Pinterest and just look through page after page of kitchens. Like the photos that inspire you, delve deep into different trends and keep liking things.

Once you have 50+ photos saved, go through them all and you’ll immediately be able to see themes that you like. Then just pick a few of the kitchens that speak to you and do your best to duplicate the look.

This method is what I tell all of my clients to do before a renovation (I’m a design/ build contractor)

Edit to add: don’t choose a paint colour until everything is in/done. Paint a test wall with a few colours first and then decide
