The wine club I subscribe to always curates the *mostttt* unique, interesting and impressive wines! This month we have:
-**Wisco Disco** (‘foxy wine’ – made from table grapes or Vitis labrusca) produced in Wisconsin!
-**La Cativva Rosso** (Primitivo/Zinfandel, aged in stainless steel.) *Drank this the other night, fantastic with my pasta: very tart cran-raspberry with a tiny bit of savory black olive, evolved into roses and pomegranate.*
-**En Noir et Blanc** — REALLY interesting backstory! It’s like a Blanc de Noir, direct press Pinot Noir, cofermented with Riesling. Pinot Noir and Riesling not usually grown in Languedoc, but the mother-daughter team studied the terroir and found that these would grow best there. *Haven’t drank it yet but I’m VERY excited for this one.*
*-***Edelzwicker** 7 different Alsatian grapes. Apparently very dynamic and bold in flavor. Comes in a liter bottle. great for sharing she said! 🙂
