So I was really excited to hear that practically in walking distance to my house there is going to be a vineyard that was going to be producing natural wine. Does anybody have any info on this place? I’m wondering if they plan to open a tasting room eventually. I don’t think they are producing there own wines currently and there website log doesn’t seem to show much since 2019. The place I’m talking about is in Clarksburg, Maryland.

Burnt Hill is owned by the team at Old Westminster Winery. In addition to a vineyard they have a pretty wide-ranging farming operation there, including growing mushrooms, an orchard, livestock, honeybees, and more.
Not sure if they’ll open a tasting room as they already have a great setup at their winery in Westminster (highly recommend visiting if you have the opportunity). It might not be worth putting a ton of infrastructure at Burnt Hill when OW is only 45 minutes away.
That said, they’re an ambitious crew that is doing a ton of cool stuff to promote what is possible in Maryland, so I wouldn’t put it past them.I believe they’re currently using Burnt Hill as an event space in addition to their farming operation so you might be able to nab tickets to something as the weather warms up if you’re local. A few years ago they held a great, intimate wine fair called Solstice there, although COVID has put it on the backburner – not sure if they’re going to be bringing it back, but here’s hoping!
