What an incredibly bland and mal-proportioned space. The ceiling is much too low for the space, giving it a squashed feel, with the coffers reinforcing that perception. This room has the feel and proportion of a parking garage.
Cheap wood flooring (some of those 3-4 ft board lengths lengths, ouch..), and a very odd choice of wood, given the monochrome pallet used elsewhere. Spending money on higher quality boards in a more homogenous wood (clear maple would have worked well here, maybe in a herringbone or chevron pattern).
Then there’s the design… why the bare ballroom area between what is the dining area (please, for the love of the gods, just build a dining room next time, open floor plans of this size just look like you’re living in an empty warehouse). Then there’s the awkwardly placed, randomly sized carpets and Home Goods style furnishings.
Money here did not lead to hiring an intelligent architect or even a half-way competent designer.

The way this space is used is not inviting, but the view is beautiful.

Ugly. Tear it down and hire a competent architect and interior designer
Looks like a conference room, in which someone put an ugly dining table and equally ugly sofas.

I doubt Florida’s most expensive home is in Palm Beach. Miami, possibly. I’d love to see the actual stats on the price of this home.
Edit: After some research, it looks like Daily Mail and Dirt have both listed this property at $218m. Other resources like Realtor.com have the most expensive homes in Florida capped around the $173m range.
One article states that the seller is willing to sell it for $125m without renovations. Funny how this owner bought it for $85m in 2021, put it on the market for $100+m and then the same day increased the price to $210m.
10 Tarpon Isle, Palm Beach, FL 33480 on Zillow for more gaudy photos.

This is the definition of money can’t buy good taste

Tarpon island. It’s insane. Todd Michal Glaser developed it. It was an older home and they tore half of it down and renovated and added some new additions to it. The house is stunning although imo I don’t like all of the interior design choices.

Pretentious. Profligate. Terrible use of space. Horrible.
If I had designed or built this, I would be embarrassed.
