I love this! The blue is so brave, and nothing else in the room is competing with it.

First reaction was that that the couch was a booth in a diner.

I think this might be chef/recipe developer/influencer Molly Baz’s home, designed by her husband Willett who is a furniture designer (you can see more on his Instagram @WilletSpace).

This gives me airport lounge vibes.

That couch looks like the one I have built in on my sailboat, in a home it’s 🥴

This doesn’t feel like a home to me. More like a waiting area in a lobby. I can’t work out why it gives me that impression.

Reminds me of that one period in wandavision

It feels outdated and modern at the same time.

That couch looks about as comfortable as a seat on Spirit Airlines.

That living room screams California and idk why exactly

Ouch people. No one has to love the design. But the overuse of simile and metaphor is sounding mean spirited and more than a bit petty. “This looks like a …” or “This reminds me of…” isn’t adding anything to a discussion about design. It appears, to me at least, that the intent behind the “Your Mama” type comparisons is to simply hurt someone’s feelings. Just sayin’

This place needs a darker fireplace tile/brick setting, replacing that blah art with a big bold one or multiples, and a rug that harmonises with the blue and allows the coffee table to stand out instead of uselessly fading into nothing.

This just looks like a rent bungalow room

Grandma’s house circa the 1950’s vibes haha

Man that is one SHARP window angle above the sliding door. A bit questionable IMO. Did it really need to be the same width as the door?
Top_Raspberry_478
I like the idea. Would love to see a contrasting pattern in a darker tone for the fireplace. Stone maybe? No brick please, as others are suggesting… I would also like a harmonious rug to bring it together. Statement art piece or smaller piece with some added lighting.
