  1. That was my first proper wine tasting session. I’m not a connoisseur of any kind, but I do love wine and could get a taste of a lot of different think. It was a blind session, so was good to try and recognize some aspects of the wine, guessing regions, grapes, etc.

    It was nice.

Cuvée Total 2020 • Oriol Artigas • Panza Blanca • Alella, Catalunya
Pet Nat, malolactic, some cheese in the nose. Taste; pomegranate, some salinity. Only 800 bottles per year.

    15 (quinze) 2017 • Pierre Andrey • Riesling • Jura
Very mineral, frutal acidity, fresh in the palate, very fruity in the nose

Chablis 1er Cru • Le Vin de Deux • Chardonnay • Chablis, Bourgogne

Tropical, fruit, pineapple, fig. Some honey in the nose maybe. Light and fresh.

    L’enfant Terrible 2018 • JF Ganevat • Poulsard • Jura
Probably my favourite. Wild red fruit, cranberry, floral. mineral and funky notes.

Novetat Total 2019 • Sistema Vinari • Callet and Foganou • Mallorca
Feels like drinking gamay from beujolais. Also ploussard comes to mind. A lot of red fruit.

Boaz 2015 • Ruth Lewandowski • Carignan, Cabernet, Grenache • Mendocino County, California
Crazy good. Reductive notes, dark fruit, szechuan pepper. Minerality. Saline, fruity finish, hibiscus. Very round, I thought it was Italian.

    Onirique 2015 • Kumpf & Meyer • Frohnberg Sylvaner • Alsace
Light volatile acidity, lighter, hints of cider.

We just went to Bendito when we were in Madrid in March. Cannot recommend this place enough

I’m flying in to Madrid today and was about to ask where to go for a drink. This looks perfect.
