Classic Jura Poulsard, to be served slightly chilled in my taste. La Tournelle is part of the many quality natural winemakers that Jura has to offer.

At first the nose was totally reductive, with notes of rubber and stems. I excepted it from Poulsard, but it stayed for another hour. I finally left it out to breathe and came back to it a few hours later.

The nose was much more expressive, very fresh. Notes of grapefruit zests especially, crunchy cranberries and hints of lingonberries. The wine stayed crisp, with a nice silky texture and a great acidic structure. The final wasn’t crazy, a light linger and crunch. I found it to have a slight note of stems, which did not bother me as it usually does and was probably due to temperature of service. A classic Poulsard, very fresh and crisp. I love Jura Poulsard for summer, this one did the job even if it needed at least 3-4 hours to start to express itself properly.

I bought two of these recently. The producer tragically committed suicide somewhat recently and this will be the last of these wines from what I’ve read. Great bottle. Hope you enjoyed it! Cheers!

Anyone knows how I can get ahold of this in Sweden?
