Had some friends over for dinner last weekend and we opened these 4 bottles. Loose memories of the tasting notes:
Domaine des Grottes – Fonds de Terroirs – 2018 (Gamay) Lots of Brett in the nose and palate that overpowered the fruit. After some time opened, you could taste strawberries and cherry.
Bruno Schueller – Pinot Blanc – 2019: pear, peach and citrus. More complex than other Pinot blancs I’ve had in the past
Domaine Labet – Les Varrons Pinot Noir – 2018: By far my favourite wine that night. Jammy, crushed strawberry, silky tannins, lots of depth and a long long finish
L’ange vin – Le regard – 2018 or 2019? (Pineau D’aunis) the minerality of this wine was striking. Red berries, white peppers and some greenness to it. Very pleasant. Only 10% abv less
Vaudooman
Met Robinot at a wine fair this weekend, fascinating guy with a great philosophy regarding not only wine but all hobbies in life
