Great area to live. I grew up in this region and love the heavy woods, yet still urban pockets hugging the train lines. I wouldn’t mind more car-free aspects around, but much better considering most suburban nightmares.
The Chicago-land region has so much great architecture hiding behind ordinary walls. The fun benefits of post-war cookie cutter bungalows.

I don’t really like the wet room style. I know it’s the big staple to have, like kitchen islands and whatever else, but I prefer a separate shower.
Plus, unless I need glasses, it looks like the ‘doorway’ in and out of the wet room opens way too close to the shower heads and there’s no closure. Hello spray into the main bathroom area, and probably some slip and falls too when you’re stepping down from the wet room to what will also be a wet floor at the bottom of the step.
The lighter green subway tile stacked the way it is reminds me of a high-school locker room shower.
This is the opposite of room porn to me.

I always wonder about ventilation in these kinds of bathrooms. There doesn’t seem to be an exhaust in the shower area. Do they not get mildew with all that moisture lingering?

Wait that water is going to drip/splash all over that shower area and down the ledge. The glass pane is way too short and the drain too small.

Except for the flooring. Personally, I’m not a fan of the hexagonal pattern – I don’t like how it looks or even feels. Gorgeous otherwise.

Pretty, but I wouldn’t want to shower in there during Chicago winters. Wide open shower is going to be freezing.

Not the biggest fan of small wall tiles while using the same size grout grooves as for big tiles.
Small tiles, small grooves, little grout. Otherwise half your wall looks like grout lines

As the resident bathroom cleaner, I have ISSUES with all that tile. It sure is pretty, but grout is a mold haven, and I’m not scrubbing all that territory with a toothbrush and bleach.
Also, it looks drafty as hell.

Am I the only one that finds those two tones pf green really off putting together? It could be the lighting but to me they totally clash? Otherwise the design and finishings are fine but I will agree with the less than practical design of these expansive shower wet rooms unless in a tropic setting, or extremely warm kept house.
