Hopefully kangaroos don’t hold dance classes upstairs.

“Can you use it in a sentence?”

    “That is a nice Tintenbar”

Snake den. This looks like a (beautiful) Australian snake den.

Oh my god I didn’t think I had a dream home until now

The Local Project! Great publication, I even sub to their print work. My favorites are the Kew House, Harry House, and Treehouse

Living under a live garden in Australia. Spiders …. Spiders everywhere.

  8. Gorgeous. But for the amount of Huntsman spiders and big snakes… I’ll stick to my tiny horribly overpriced apartment in the city thank you

Special block with all of those gums still there, In this region, the farmers cut down most of the gums for cow farming.

Google Maps / satellite imagery says: “I don’t see anything at all”

I love this. I really love this. Then I realised it’s in Australia and the roof is basically just a giant nursery for deadly snakes and spiders.

I’m wondering what kind of treatment do you need to apply to the concrete in order to resist all the humidity basically… forever. Maybe some kind of an specific plastic sheet?

This is beautiful but the spider situation would be untenable lol

I’m not usually into Brutalism but they’ve managed to design something with a very chill vibe here. If it were me I would invest in some screens for all the Australian species of spiders but other than that, I really like this.

as someone with a flat roofed spanish house in California that has leaks in 5 places I am interested how drainage works but this is beautiful

I used to tell my husband, if we won the lottery, we can finally build a house into the side of a hill and have compost toilets.

He teased me that while we were having it built, we could do like Bill Gates and Warren Buffett do on their vacations, and ride the rails in a vacant freight car.

This kind of house is what meant, or one more hobbity.

How does the roof maintain its integrity and not get all mildewed?
