I recently have gotten into Natural wines while travelling Europe. This particular wine was purchased at ‘Enoteca Historical Faccioli’ in Bologna. Really recommend anyone to go to this place if you’re ever in Italy. The shop owner was extremely nice and welcoming.
Now to the wine… this felt like a more mature wine 😂 (if that makes any sense). What I mean is it tasted more peppery and dryer than other natural wines I have tried (which have usually been sweeter). I usually don’t like these characteristics in a wine, but not this time. This wine counterbalanced the dryness and pepper taste with beautiful notes of berry, cherry and even a slight vanilla taste.
Highly recommend trying this wine if you’re beginning your natural wine journey (like me) and are wanting to take the ‘next step’ to less sweet wines.
