13% Skin contact Sauvignon Blanc, aged 9 months in barrels. Opposite end of the orange wine spectrum to his 2021 wildman Blanc, less tropical and more warm temperate if you know what I mean. Nail polish and caramel to the nose with a grippy warm bitterness that tastes like concentrated apricots, orange oil and something else that adds to the complexity. Very similar to Sébastien Riffaults Auksinis and Radikons Jakot. Pretty insane actually, I can appreciate the hell out of this wine. Just shows how good a wine maker Anton can be.

Margaux makes incredible wines. I’m still trying to find another winemaker Pinot Noir* that would be equivalent to the one I’ve tried from Lucy M. Anyone reading this, make some recs!

I find Anton’s wines can be great or incredibly terrible. I once bought one of his Basket Range reds to then realise it was only aged for 2 weeks, therefore the sour and rancid grape juice taste. Literally undrinkable

Just had the light syrah 2021 from lucy m and it was delicious but as some of his other wines it got mousy really quickly, had to push it during the night, (while working)
