New to red wine and happened on this bottle by Subject to Change which I instantly fell in love with. Went back to the store and they recommended me the Las Jaras which I enjoyed as well. These wines for me have a young fresh vibrancy, watermelon jolly rancher fruitiness, and some nice minerality. I think they are both field blends from California. Can you ppl recommend anything similar that I could look out for?

One that tick the boxes (don’t know availability-wise in the US) is Uivo Renegado, the none Pet Nat version. It’s a super light red, made to be chilled. A 50/50 blend of red and white grapes, insanely fruity, fresh and great minerality.

Iruai – Bloom Phase. One of my favorites.

Check out Broc Cellars and Jolie Laide.

La Garagista makes some stuff that tastes like sour candy. Not sure if her wines make it out of Vermont, though.

    love Las Jaras!

Here are a few of my favs that fit into that category:

Weingut Brand Nouveau (super cool natty producer from Germany)

Niepoort Nat Cool “Drink Me Tinto” (delish chuggable from Portugal)

Fossil & Fawn “Do Nothing” (Oregon/Willamette Valley… I call this one grown up hawaiian punch)

    California producers:

Vinca Minor “Light Red” (totally fresh, chillable, chuggable)

Les Lunes Populis Wabi-Sabi – nice and bright chillable “perfectly imperfect”

and finally, a +1 for the Broc Cellars “Love Red” – that one is a banger!

  6. The STCWC Dreamboat red is also very nice!

Editing to add: Ross & Bee Maloof “where ya PJs at?) is a bright and aromatic light red/dark rose that is a blend of two wines – 80% skin fermented Pinot gris and 20% Riesling from Willamette.
