the exterior of this library is also one of the most beautiful buildings I’ve ever seen. and it was build relatively recently

The main floors is whoa, the spiraling escalators are whooa…. And the winter garden is just WOW
I always loved looking out the tall windows by the curtains to see the skyline. Few, very public spaces get you to such great heights as this library does. Chicago could definitely benefit from a library on a 50th+ floor. Obviously for selfish reasons to see the city purely.
