I think it’s beautiful but in terms of practicality the dust and grime on open shelving would just be insane.

This looks like someone left the doors off of face frame cabinets. Actual open shelving would have looked much better.

That’s not “open shelving” it’s just cabinets without doors. 🤣
I like open shelving! But 1) it’s best in kitchens that really need the light and space. Not really any call for it in a 20×20 suburban McKitchen. And 2) when called for, it should achieve the goal of making things more light and visually spacious. Cabinet boxes do not achieve that. Finally 3) kitchens that look showroom-worthy are not necessarily great to live with. For example, don’t put things on open shelves that you don’t want to collect dust. Cabinets have doors for a reason! Using glass doors can be nice, and function.
Not to be too harsh, this looks like a lovely space. I just wouldn’t *particularly* brag about the open shelving.
