From Larkin Imports, “ The organic grapes are grown in the village of Chânes and in the Cru of Saint-Amour, by Julie’s good friends Gilles & Jérôme Courtois (you will see their name on the label). The soils are sandy with large pebbles in Saint Amour, as well as pink granite in Chânes. 3 weeks carbonic maceration, then aged in old barrels for 8 months. Not fined or filtered, and no SO2 at any stage.”

Succulent mouth feel of velvety fine tannins balanced with a medium acidy. As the lips on the label suggest this is like a passionate kiss with a stranger. Smells like a make believe fantasy forest where the wood is made of cherries that have been soaking in the depths of syrupy mildew and moss. Picture a land made of deep forest cake. The flavours are just as luscious, hints of dark chocolate with brambly berries and fruits of blue, red and deep maroon. This wine is the embodiment of sexy red lipstick
