I love black walnut, but I have concerns with how well these hold up in the long run. Wouldn’t setting a hot pan on them ruin the finish?

I love this so much but I’m afraid of wood countertops. My wood floors are sh*T because of dogs, kids, spills, traffic. I feel like I would be to scared to use these.
