All the generic art, everything basically the same color… This looks like a waiting room for a financial firm or something.

I guess “man cave” isn’t posh enough when you have this kind of money.

I don’t “get” this one at all. There is an entire wall of gorgeous bookshelves full of generic-looking tchotchkes, and NO BOOKS! What is the room even for? It’s clearly not for reading (no books) or for streaming movies (no TV) or for conversation (the sofa faces the fireplace.) Maybe the “gentleman” who owns this room is a loner who spends his time meditating, but it really looks like a high-end hotel lobby to me.

I do hope this is just the staged setup for potential buyers, and not how a person living there actually decorated. Like the others here, that wall full of bargain-bin, emotionless, cookie-cutter crap is an eyesore. Personally, I think they’ve dedicated too much space to shelves that will look poorly if not occupied by something, which can then lead to the problem of trying to fill empty spaces. It would be great for someone who has a collection of something that could be shown off.

I think this is great! This is my preferred style. Obviously the owner would personalize it, I’m not sure why people are criticizing that aspect.

No facing each other. Just watch and be quiet.
