The lighter cabinets are really slick! I think the gloss on the darker cabinets is a bit different than my taste, but it looks clean and well done!

I love the long flowing countertop, looks great. So if there is room I would have eliminated round table and rotated island 90° and made it like 8-10 feet long. But that’s just me, I don’t eat at a table and I know some people do and that’s cool.

People here can be so mean. I love it! We had a very similar transformation in my mums kitchen, starting with the birch and going grey/white gloss. The biggest difference is the bench tops. Black bench tops suck – specifically the polished stone/granite. Looks great when clean but every fingerprint muddies it something awful. The white bench tops in your after throw heaps more light around. Congrats on the new kitchen!

It’s hard to tell from the pic, what color are the new base cabinets? We’re redoing ours with IKEA flat cabinets in white and gray, but not glossy
