Pio Cesare Mosconi Barolo 2020, by odedi1 Wine 1 Comment odedi1 1 hour ago Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim. Soft nose and medium plus in body with medium acidity. Dry on the palate with nice complexity. Showing cherries, currants, blueberries, light oak, licorice, chocolates, tobacco leaf, herbs, peppercorn, earth and spices. Long finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries. This Single Vineyard Barolo is starting to drink beautifully now, but still very young. Elegant, tangy and nicely balanced. Complex and entertaining. Needs a couple of hours to open up properly. Soft and smooth, once it opens up. Will continue to age nicely in the next 15 years. Would be nice to revisit it in 7 years and see how it evolves. A great sipping wine that I really enjoyed with food too. 14.5% alcohol by volume. 92 points. $200.
