Day 2 of my Christmas Dip Series… Baked French Onion Dip🧅🧀 Who grew up eating sour cream mixed with Lipton Onion Soup Mix?? Honestly so good😂 but this is even BETTER!! Ingredients: • 2 tbsp butter • 2 tbsp olive oil • 2 medium/large yellow onions • 2 tsp brown sugar • 2 tsp worcestershire • 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese • 8 oz tub of sour cream (a little under a cup) • 1/2 cup @bestfoodsmayonnaise • 1/2 tsp salt • 1/2 tsp pepper • 1/2 tsp thyme • 1/2 tsp garlic powder • 1 1/2 cups Gruyère cheese (buy a block of it) I used @Boar’s Head • chives for topping • ruffles, wavy lays, or toasted French bread for dipping Start by preheating your oven to 450°F. Thinly slice your onions and set aside. On medium heat, melt your butter and olive oil in a pan. Add in the onions and a small pinch of salt. Mix it around to get the onions coated. You’re going to stir the onions every 5 minutes until you hit 30 minutes. Once you hit the 30 minute mark, add in the brown sugar and Worcestershire. Stir every 2 minutes for another 15 minutes and then turn the heat to low. Add in the cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, salt, pepper, thyme, garlic powder, and stir. Add in a 1/2 cup of the cheese and stir again. Top with more cheese and bake for 7-10 minutes. Top with chives. #easyrecipes #cookwithme #foodie #dinnerideas #cozyrecipes #cheesepull #christmas #holidayrecipes #diprecipes #appetizer #oniondip #frenchonion
